CARWOOD CAR WASH & DETAIL

Effective date: October 1, 2026

In plain language: We collect information needed to provide car wash, detailing, membership, booking, customer-support, and marketing services; to improve and protect our operations; and to comply with law. This policy explains the information involved and the choices available to you.

Carwood Hand Carwash LLC and Carwood Express Car Wash LLC (together, “Carwood,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you use our websites, visit our locations, book or receive services, purchase or manage a membership, communicate with us, participate in a promotion or event, or receive email or text messages from us.

This policy does not apply to information about Carwood employees or job applicants, or to a third party’s website, application, or service that is governed by that third party’s own privacy policy.

1. Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us. We may collect the following categories:

  • Contact and identity information. Name, email address, telephone number, mailing or service address, account username, and similar identifiers.
  • Vehicle and service information. Vehicle description, license plate number, requested services, appointment details, mobile-detailing location, service preferences, and notes needed to provide or support a service.
  • Transaction and membership information. Purchases, booking history, membership status, recurring-billing information, coupon or promotion use, and customer-service history.
  • Payment information. Payment card and billing information may be collected by Carwood or by a payment processor. Depending on the payment method, Carwood may receive transaction details rather than complete card information.
  • Communications and content. Messages sent through forms, email, text, telephone, social media, reviews, survey responses, and any content you choose to provide.
  • Device and online activity. Internet Protocol address, browser and device type, operating system, cookie or similar identifiers, pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, approximate location derived from an IP address, and interactions with our advertisements.
  • Marketing and preference information. Newsletter or text-message enrollment, consent records, opt-out requests, offer redemptions, and inferred service or communication preferences.
  • On-site information. Images or video captured by security cameras at our locations, incident information, and other information reasonably needed for safety, loss prevention, or claims handling.

We do not ask you to provide Social Security numbers, health information, biometric identifiers, or other highly sensitive information through our public website forms. Please do not include unnecessary sensitive information in a free-form message.

2. How we collect information

  • Directly from you. For example, when you buy a wash, enroll in or manage a membership, book mobile detailing, complete a form, join a marketing list, contact us, or participate in an event or promotion.
  • Automatically. Our website and advertising technologies may collect device and usage information through cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar tools.
  • From service providers and business partners. For example, booking, payment, membership, messaging, analytics, advertising, event-ticketing, website-hosting, fraud-prevention, and customer-support providers may provide information needed to complete a transaction or operate a service.
  • From public or social sources. If you interact with Carwood on a social network, review site, or other public platform, we may receive information permitted by that platform and your settings.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, schedule, personalize, and support car wash and detailing services.
  • Process purchases, bookings, memberships, recurring payments, coupons, and refunds.
  • Authenticate accounts and maintain accurate customer and membership records.
  • Respond to questions, service requests, complaints, reviews, and claims.
  • Send transactional messages about appointments, purchases, memberships, service changes, or security.
  • Send marketing email or text messages when permitted, and maintain consent and opt-out records.
  • Measure website, campaign, and promotion performance; understand customer preferences; and improve our services.
  • Protect customers, staff, property, websites, accounts, and transactions; detect fraud or misuse; and investigate incidents.
  • Comply with legal, accounting, tax, insurance, and regulatory requirements; establish or defend legal claims; and enforce our terms.
  • Carry out another purpose that we explain when the information is collected or that you authorize.

4. When we disclose information

We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients for the purposes described above:

  • Service providers and contractors. Companies that support website hosting, forms, booking, payments, memberships, customer communications, text messaging, email, analytics, advertising, event ticketing, security, storage, and professional services. They may use the information only as permitted by their agreements and applicable law.
  • Advertising and analytics partners. Companies that help measure traffic, understand advertising performance, or deliver relevant ads. Certain disclosures of online identifiers, internet activity, or commercial activity for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered “sharing” under California law even when no money changes hands.
  • Business and transaction counterparties. A buyer, successor, lender, insurer, adviser, or other participant in a proposed or completed merger, financing, acquisition, sale, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate protections.
  • Legal and safety recipients. Courts, regulators, law enforcement, government agencies, insurers, or other parties when we believe disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, customers, staff, or the public.
  • Recipients you direct or authorize. A person, service, or partner you ask us to involve in your transaction or interaction.

No sale for money. We do not sell personal information for monetary payment. As explained above, some advertising-related disclosures may be treated as “sharing” under California law. See Section 9 for applicable opt-out rights.

5. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Our website may use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to keep the site functioning, remember preferences, understand how visitors use the site, measure campaigns, prevent fraud, and support advertising. These technologies may be operated by Carwood or by third parties.

  • Essential tools. Support core site functions, security, forms, and booking connections.
  • Analytics tools. Help us understand visits, page activity, and site performance.
  • Advertising tools. Help measure ads, build audiences, or deliver advertising based on activity over time and across websites or services.

You can use available cookie controls and browser settings to manage some technologies. Blocking cookies may affect website features. Where required by law, we will recognize qualifying browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of sale or sharing for the browser and device that sends the signal.

6. Text messages and email

If you choose to receive marketing text messages or email from Carwood, we may use your contact information and engagement history to send offers, reminders, event news, and service updates. Marketing consent is optional and is not a condition of purchasing goods or services.

  • Reply STOP to a marketing text message to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency may vary.
  • Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or contact us to stop marketing email.
  • We may still send non-marketing messages that are necessary to complete or support a transaction, administer a membership, respond to you, or provide safety or legal notices.
  • Mobile opt-in data and consent records are not sold, rented, or disclosed to unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing. They may be provided to messaging vendors and other service providers solely to operate and support Carwood’s messaging program, or when required by law.

7. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary and proportionate for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. The criteria we use include the length of our customer or membership relationship, the time needed to provide and support a service, accounting and tax requirements, warranty or dispute periods, fraud and security needs, legal-hold obligations, and applicable statutes of limitation.

8. Data security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. No system or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us promptly.

9. Your privacy choices and rights

  • Account and service information. Contact us to update information associated with your booking, membership, or customer record.
  • Marketing choices. Use the STOP or unsubscribe methods described in Section 6.
  • Cookies and advertising. Use available cookie controls, browser settings, and qualifying browser opt-out signals. Where required, Carwood will also provide a “Your Privacy Choices” or “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” method.
  • Privacy requests. Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising; to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and to appeal a denied request.

To submit a privacy request, contact us using the methods in Section 14. Please describe the request and provide enough information for us to locate the relevant records. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity and authority before completing certain requests. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law; we may require proof of authorization and may verify the request directly with you. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

10. California privacy notice

This section applies to California residents to the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies to Carwood and the information at issue. California law may provide rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and receive equal treatment.

During the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the categories listed below and disclosed them to service providers or contractors for business purposes. We may also have shared the marked categories with advertising and analytics partners for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

We use and retain these categories for the purposes and under the criteria described in Sections 3 and 7. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit unless we provide the required notice and choice.

11. Children’s privacy

Our websites and services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

12. Third-party services and links

Our website or communications may link to or integrate with third-party services, including booking, payment, event-ticketing, maps, social media, and review services. Those third parties may collect information directly from you under their own privacy policies. Carwood does not control their independent privacy practices, so please review the notice presented by the service you use.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, services, or legal obligations. The revised policy will show a new effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when required by law.
