1. Acceptance of These Terms
By purchasing, booking, or using any Carwood Car Wash service — including express washes, full-service washes, detailing, mobile detailing, wash clubs, gift cards, and ticketed events — you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
The Lakewood location (2729 E Carson St, Lakewood, CA 90712) and our mobile wash and detailing services are operated by Carwood Hand Carwash LLC, and the Downey location (8845 Imperial Hwy, Downey, CA 90242) is operated by Carwood Express Car Wash LLC. References to “Carwood,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the LLC operating the service you use.
2. Services
- Express exterior washes at our Lakewood and Downey tunnels, including free self-service vacuums where offered.
- Full-service washes and hand detailing at Lakewood.
- Mobile car wash and detailing (“Lakewood Mobile”), booked online through our scheduling partner and performed at your location within our service area.
- Unlimited Wash Club memberships for express washes.
- Wash books, gift cards, and single washes sold online and on site.
- Seasonal ticketed events (e.g., Haunted Car Wash, Christmas Car Wash).
Service availability, hours (currently 7:00 AM–8:00 PM daily), and offerings may change. We may close or limit services for weather, maintenance, safety, or special events.
3. Pricing and Payment
- Prices are posted on site and online and may change without notice. The price in effect at the time of purchase applies.
- Payment is due at the time of service or booking unless otherwise stated.
- Online wash and gift-card purchases are processed through our authorized payment providers. All sales of single washes, wash books, and gift cards are final except as required by law.
4. Unlimited Wash Club Memberships
- Memberships are billed on a recurring monthly cycle to the payment method on file, beginning on your signup date.
- Each membership covers one vehicle, identified by license plate. Memberships are non-transferable between vehicles or persons.
- Memberships are for personal, non-commercial use.
- To cancel, submit a cancellation request through the contact form at carwoodcarwash.com/contact. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle; no partial-month refunds.
- If a payment fails, we may suspend wash privileges until the account is current. We may cancel memberships for misuse, fraud, or violation of these terms.
- We may change membership prices or benefits with notice; continuing to use the membership after the change constitutes acceptance.
5. Mobile Detailing Bookings
- Mobile services are by appointment only, booked online. You will receive confirmation by email.
- Please provide accurate vehicle, location, and contact details, and ensure the vehicle is accessible at the appointment time with room to work around it.
- Cancellations and reschedules: please give at least 24 hours’ notice through your confirmation email or our contact form. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee up to the full service price.
- Our service area covers Lakewood, Long Beach, and surrounding communities.
- If we cannot complete a service due to conditions at your location (access, weather, vehicle condition), we will work with you to reschedule.
6. Your Vehicle: Condition, Parts, and Personal Property
- Please remove valuables and personal items before any service. We are not responsible for personal property left in or on your vehicle.
- Tell our team about pre-existing damage, loose parts, or special conditions before your wash begins.
- Vehicles with aftermarket modifications, loose or damaged trim, oversized tires, roof racks, spoilers, antennas, or non-factory finishes are washed at your risk. Please fold mirrors and remove or secure antennas where applicable.
- We are not responsible for damage to items that are already loose, cracked, worn, or improperly installed, or for water intrusion in vehicles with compromised seals.
- For detailing services, we document the vehicle’s condition on arrival. Please review it with our team before we begin.
7. Damage Claims
If you believe a service caused damage to your vehicle, tell a manager on site before leaving, or contact us promptly through carwoodcarwash.com/contact with your receipt, photos, and a description of what happened. We review every claim in good faith.
8. Customer Conduct and Right to Refuse Service
- Follow posted instructions and team directions in the tunnel, on the lot, and at vacuum areas.
- We may refuse or stop service for unsafe conditions, abusive behavior, or violation of these terms, without refund for the interrupted service.
- Children and pets must remain supervised and, where posted, inside the vehicle during the wash.
9. Gift Cards, Wash Books, and Promotions
- Gift cards and wash books are redeemable for services only, are not redeemable for cash except as required by law, and do not expire.
- Promotional offers (including free-wash offers) are subject to their stated terms, limits, and expiration dates, and may not be combined.
- Event tickets (e.g., Haunted Car Wash) are sold through our ticketing partner and are subject to the event’s stated refund and weather policies.
10. Website and Communications
- Our website content is for general information. Do not misuse the site, forms, or booking tools.
- By providing your phone number or email, you agree we may contact you about your purchase, booking, or membership. Marketing texts and emails are optional and you may opt out at any time (reply STOP to texts; use the unsubscribe link in emails).
11. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Services are provided as described on site. To the fullest extent permitted by California law, Carwood’s liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for the service at issue, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable law that cannot be waived.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on our website at the time of your purchase or booking applies to that transaction. Material changes to membership terms will be communicated with notice before they take effect.
